As you are posting articles, videos on social media and on your website trying to expose your brand and build trust with your target audience, you need a lead-magnet to attract or magnetize them to you, your product or service.
In this post, I’m going to share with you five (5) tips to create an irresistible lead magnet that works.
Okay, without taking time let’s dive in right away.
Lead magnets should NEVER be vague. It should offer an ultra-specific solution to an ultra-specific target market.
Make your solution, extremely specific and direct to a specific target market. An ambiguous or non-specific solution doesn’t intrigue prospect.
Lead Magnets don’t have to be lengthy, complex or time-intensive to create, a long and complex Lead Magnet will likely convert poorly.
The idea is simply to solve a specific problem, with a specific solution for a specific segment of your market.
Here is an example:
From the title you understand what the lead magnet is about,and what to expect from it. The title calls out to people that are interested in internet marketing.
- Speaks Directly to a Known Desired End Result
What does your market REALLY need solution on badly? Find out and come up with solution that speak direct to their desired end result, which is the transformation, the change they will derive when they use your solution.
If you can figure that out and offer a Lead Magnet that promises it, prospects will gladly give you their contact information without looking back. You know, having a list or data banks of your prospects contact details such as emails and phone numbers is regarded as you having empire, because you can have access to them at any time, and convert them to sales through emails follow-up or calls.
- Immediate Gratification
Your prospects want solution to their problem not tomorrow, they want it right now. Make sure your solution solve a specific problem they are having right away. Speed is of great essence here. Do not use newsletters or multi-day courses as a Lead Magnet.
Your market wants a solution and they want it now.
- Shifts the Relationship
The best Lead Magnets do more than inform, they actually change the state and mindset of prospect by pre-framing them to engage in future business with your company. So after solving a specific solution for your prospects or ideal clients, your lead-magnet should build their expectation for future business by giving them ideas of what you will be sharing with them to keep their minds open and be under expectation to hear from you soon.
- Rapid Consumption
You don’t want your Lead Magnet to be a roadblock in your sales funnel, so ideally it should be able to be consumed or experienced in fewer than five.
Lead Magnet MUST be easily consumed by your prospects or idea clients for it to have an impact, but when it’s lengthy, it rather defeat the purpose. Therefore having a mini-course delivered over 10 days or a 200-pages eBook as a Lead Magnet is not ideal for lead-magnet. These kind take too long to consume and are unlikely to be specific. A perfect Lead Magnet offers tremendous value within five minutes of the opt-in.
If the Lead Magnet is difficult to consume (a 300 page book, a 30 day email course) the conversion rates on the offer will suffer.
Here’s the big underlying principle that all the items boil down to: Specificity matters.
Take a look at your Lead Magnet through the eyes of these five (5) points and make the necessary changes to make your lead magnet irresistible to your prospects.
